Stacey Pratt brings significant and diverse experience in both litigation and appellate matters to the firm. Stacey started her career as an appellate lawyer and has handled over 100 appeals and writ petitions in state and federal courts, covering a wide range of legal issues. This valuable experience as an appellate lawyer allows her to proficiently plan and manage litigation at all stages with an eye toward success in the appellate court, if necessary. She serves as an important resource on post-trial motions, preservation of the appellate record, and other strategic issues in preparation for appeals.
Stacey guides clients through complex litigation involving a variety of issues including corporate financial fraud, breach of fiduciary duties and professional negligence, investment fraud, fraudulent transfers, contract disputes, and many more. She has substantial experience representing federal receivers and bankruptcy trustees and serves as special litigation counsel to trustees and receivers in pursuing litigation to recover funds for the estate. Stacey is also accomplished in analyzing insurance coverage issues and related litigation, skills that are often critical in achieving a favorable outcome for clients where insurance is in play.
Stacey has many years of experience representing employers and high-level employees in high stakes employment litigation at both the trial court and appellate levels. She has handled a wide range of challenging disputes in state and federal courts, arbitrations and administrative proceedings, concerning wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, trade secret theft, wage and hour violations, defamation, and non-compete issues. She also has significant experience in class action litigation in both the wage and hour arena, and in consumer protection matters.
